Office Furniture Reconfiguration in Houston

Rearrange, add to and reuse the furniture you already own so your space fits how your team works today.

Office furniture reconfiguration means rearranging, adding to or reusing the workstations, cubicles and furniture you already own to fit a new layout, without buying everything new or moving buildings. G&L Installations reconfigures commercial furniture across Houston, backed by our own 50,000-square-foot warehouse, mill shop and refinishing center.

If your building still fits your team but your layout no longer does, reconfiguration is often the lower-cost, lower-disruption option to evaluate first.

What Office Reconfiguration Includes

  • Rearranging modular workstations and cubicles into a new layout
  • Adding workstations for new hires within your current footprint
  • Converting underused areas into collaborative or shared spaces
  • Reconfiguring furniture for hybrid schedules and shared desks
  • Moving departments or furniture within the same building
  • Repairing, refinishing, reupholstering or steam cleaning existing pieces
  • Storing, liquidating or removing furniture you no longer need

When Reconfiguration Makes Sense

  • You are growing, but the building still fits. Repositioning modular furniture and improving circulation can create usable space without a new lease.
  • Your furniture is in good condition. Reusing quality workstations, desks and storage avoids unnecessary replacement costs.
  • You cannot afford a long shutdown. Reconfiguration can often be done in phases or outside business hours.
  • The way you work has changed. Hybrid schedules and shifting department sizes often call for a new layout, not new furniture.

Our Reconfiguration Process

  1. Assess your furniture and space. We review what you have, including the manufacturer, product line, age and available components, against the layout you need.
  2. Plan the new layout. We work from your designer’s or dealer’s drawings and flag compatibility and installation issues before work starts.
  3. Fill the gaps. Missing parts or extra pieces can come from new components or our pre-owned furniture inventory, depending on availability.
  4. Restore what you are keeping. Our refinishing center and mill shop handle touch-ups, repairs, reupholstery and steam cleaning.
  5. Reinstall with minimal disruption. We schedule the work in phases, after hours or on weekends when needed.
  6. Clear out the surplus. Furniture you no longer need can be stored in our warehouse, liquidated, donated or disposed of responsibly.
